1. Who we are
Scantara ("the Service") is operated by [Company legal name], [registered address]. These terms are an agreement between you and us. By creating an account you accept them.
2. What the Service does
Scantara runs automated agents that monitor publicly available web sources, data services, and — where you connect them — your own accounts (such as your calendar), and sends you alerts and digests when conditions you define appear to be met. Alerts are informational and generated with the help of artificial intelligence; they may contain errors, omissions, or delays.
3. Your account
You sign up with your mobile number, verified by a one-time code. You must be 18 or older. Keep your number current: it is how we reach you and how you recover your account. You are responsible for activity on your account.
4. Fair and lawful use
You may not use the Service to monitor private individuals without their consent, to access sources unlawfully, to evade a website's access controls, or for any unlawful purpose. We may decline, pause, or disable any watcher — including where a source cannot be lawfully or reliably monitored — and will tell you when we do.
5. No guarantee of alerts
Sources change, block automated access, publish late, or go down. We do not guarantee that any check will run at a particular time, that any change will be detected, or that any alert will be delivered or be timely or accurate. Do not rely on the Service as your only safeguard for critical deadlines, payments, or legal obligations.
6. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment providers or the app store you purchased through, and renew automatically until cancelled. Cancelling stops future renewals; fees already paid are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. Plan limits (watcher counts, check frequency) are described at purchase and may evolve with notice.
7. Affiliate links
Some alerts include links through which we may earn a commission (for example, product or travel bookings) at no extra cost to you. Alerts are triggered by your conditions, not by commission potential.
8. Third-party channels
Delivery over WhatsApp, Telegram, email, or push depends on those platforms, and their terms apply to your use of them. If a platform blocks or delays delivery, we will use your other enabled channels where possible.
9. Your content and our rights
You keep all rights to the goals and content you submit. You grant us the licence needed to operate the Service on your behalf (to store your watchers, query sources, and generate alerts). The Service itself — software, design, brand — belongs to us.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms, with notice where practicable. Sections that by nature survive (liability, disputes) survive termination.
11. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims arising from the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for opportunities missed due to undelivered, late, or inaccurate alerts — including missed tenders, fares, deadlines, or price changes — or for indirect or consequential loss.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. For material changes we will notify you through the app or your alert channels at least [15] days before they take effect. Continued use after that is acceptance.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at [city] have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-law rights you hold.
